Annual Reports & Strategic Plans
Annual Report 2025
Our 2025 report highlights a year full of advocacy, research, health promotion, and training aimed at advancing women's equality in Northern Ireland. WRDA led initiatives addressing violence against women and girls (VAWG), health inequalities, and tackling the far-right, notably through campaigns like Shift the Shame and Raise Your Voice. The Agency delivered extensive training, peer support, and leadership programmes, including Women Breaking Barriers and the Maternal Advocacy and Support Project. WRDA’s research underscored urgent gaps in women’s healthcare and employment access, while its lobbying efforts influenced policy on childcare, trans rights, and gender equality. The report reflects WRDA’s unwavering commitment to equality through empowering individual women and fostering systemic change.
Strategic Plan 2026-2030
The WRDA Strategic Plan 2026–2030 outlines a vision for a fair and equal society where women and gender minorities are empowered and influential. It focuses on four strategic aims: Empowerment and Tackling Inequalities, Policy and Advocacy, Leadership and Infrastructure Support, and Organisational Development. The plan is based on feminist values and seeks to raise awareness of gendered inequalities, support women’s participation in policy-making, strengthen the women’s sector, and enhance WRDA’s internal capacity. The plan emphasises collaboration, inclusion, and respect for diversity, while aligning with international frameworks like CEDAW and UN Resolution 1325 to promote women’s rights and peacebuilding.
