‘Don’t Say a Word’ Play
Thursday, 5th November commencing at 7.00 pm
Don’t Say a Word is a powerful and insightful one woman play written and performed by Patricia Byrne. First produced in the Derry Playhouse in 2004, Don’t Say a Word has toured Ireland to packed houses and is in constant demand.
The play follows the highs and lows of one woman’s new relationship. She has most definitely met the perfect man. Or has she? What happens when the dream of “happy ever after” becomes a nightmare?
The play attempts to explore the complexities of the issue of domestic violence. The relationship is portrayed from the female and male perspectives. The production seeks to raise awareness and concern among the general public and to offer hope to victims and survivors of domestic violence. The story is told through drama, story telling and comedy
The performance lasts approximately 45 mins and will be followed by refreshments and a 30 minute question and answer session with the cast and local organisations providing services to women.
Places are available free of charge.
