Social Models of Health

WRDA recognises that many factors have a negative impact on our health, including poverty, unemployment, poor education, poor living and working environments and social exclusion.

WRDA offer a number of training resource packs which have all been developed in consideration of government strategies and programmes on health inequalities. They include:

  • Executive’s Programme for Government under the theme ‘Working for a Healthier People’
  • Investing for Health Strategy 2002
  • Strategies and action plans published by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS)

All our resource packs have been designed with a focus on how these inequalities affect health.
