Community ConsultationCommunity Consultation

We use the skills and reach of Community Facilitators to ensure the participation of grassroots individuals and communities. As an organisation we are excited to be involved in this innovative work which will result in more effective, inclusive and cost-effective consultation.

Why work with us to consult on policy?

  • We have the ability to network into women’s groups and organisations throughout Northern Ireland
  • We work with a network of Community Facilitators geographically spread across Northern Ireland
  • Community Facilitators have recognised training (NVQ Level III in Direct Training & Support) and expertise

Our Process

  1. Identify appropriate Community Facilitators
  2. Organise training - attended by Community Facilitators, Support Staff and consulting organisation if required
  3. Map and identify areas for consultations
  4. Community Facilitators identify venues to hold consultations
  5. Co-ordinate Community Facilitators to deliver sessions
  6. Collate feedback for the consulting organisations

"For the first time in my life, I feel that I have been given the opportunity to participate and influence issues that really matter to me. I feel that my opinion is genuinely valued. I honestly believe that women such as myself, living in rural communities can make a strong impact on policy developments”.
