WRDA and WSN agree to merge organisations

As the Director of WRDA, I am pleased to let you all know formally that the boards of WRDA and WSN have entered into negotiations with the intention of achieving a merger of the two organisations. To fulfill this purpose, one Transition Board has been formed.

We are committed to the creation of one women's organisation, based in Belfast, which will operate on both an infrastructural and operational basis.  This new organisation will operate across the region of Northern Ireland.

We are committed to ensuring that we continue to operate on a best practice model of working, based on driving forward the needs of all women we collectively represent and that our work continues to be needs led, evidence based and innovative in nature and application.

We aspire to working collectively with all women's groups and organisations who share our feminist ethos and organisational and operational aspirations.

The members of the Transition Board are charged with the leadership and completion of this process and are committed to fulfilling this task to maximise outputs for all disadvantaged women, wherever located.

We will continue to provide updates on this new and exciting venture as and when we consolidate our ideas and plans for our joint future.
