Live & Learn Partner Meeting
WRDA Partners involved in the Regional Women’s Centres Learning Partnership’s Live and Learn Project met at the Dunsilly Hotel on Monday 30th March to discuss the way forward post Live & Learn funding. The main issues identified: • The need for organisations involved in adult community education to work together • The Live and Learn Evaluation Report provides a lot of very useful information for the Women’s Organisations to use in lobbying. • Reports, newsletters and websites, social media and Youtube are all channels that can be used by the partners to get information out on the need for funding adult education in in Northern Ireland. • WRDA will compile information from the centres on what steps they have taken towards sustainability of the Live and Learn experience. Representatives from FALNI (Further and Adult Education Northern Ireland) then addressed the meeting regarding a number of impact forums they are leading on in association with NIACE (National Institute of Adult Continuing Education). The forums will conclude with a conference in the autumn ‘15. FALNI are also working on updating a manifesto for adult learning in time for the Assembly elections in 2016.
