A report encapsulating the bustling launch of the Women's Regional Consortium, which was attended by over a hundred women, is available for download now.
The Consortium was set up to give voice to women from disadvantaged urban and rural areas, and is comprised of seven women's sector organisations, including WRDA.
Its launch took place in the Wellington Park Hotel in February and was focused around a table discussion, which gave the hundred-plus women who attended an opportunity to debate a wide range of issues directly affecting them.
The report examines the views they put forward at length, covering everything from Welfare Reform to childcare. It ends with an action plan designed to guide the Consortium's future work and ensure it continues meeting the needs of women at ground level. Get your own copy here.
